(More customer reviews)I love this suit for swimming in cool (about 70 degrees) lake water. The suit adds about 5-10 degrees of warmth. It is made of very thin lycra (slightly thinner than most racing swimsuits), but it gives me about the same warmth as the shorty sleeveless wetsuit I own. I prefer the lycra suit over the shorty wetsuit since it doesn't add any buoyancy, so I feel the same in the water as I do just wearing a swimsuit. The drag of the suit in the water is nothing; I feel just as fast as I do when wearing a racing swimsuit brief. I like the full coverage of this suit and not having cool water in contact with my arms or lower legs. I cut off the stirrups and the thumb loops (easy to do) and this makes it better for swimming. The suit is unlined in the crotch and is very revealing, so if you care about this, you should wear a racing swimsuit brief underneath. (I bought the one with the yellow stripes on the sleeves and my wife loves the way I look in the suit!) I've only used the suit about 10 times so it is too early to say about wear and getting stretched out.

(More customer reviews)Based on the good reviews, I ordered a size 6 for my six year old son, who is a bit shorter and very slim compared to others his age. He swims in the suit (no pun intended).
Nevertheless, I think it's a very good product -- sturdy and cleverly designed. My son finds it comfortable and it seems to keep him warm in the water even though it's baggy. The upshot: he makes it through his swimming lessons now and I'm grateful for that.

It's fun to wear because it's not covering your entire back and the straps don't cut into your shoulders. It's a great fit (if you know how to size yourself in speedo language... LOL). It's modest (high cut in front), it's fun (the colors it comes in), it's flattering (the splice is forgiving), it's nice for outdoors wear because you don't end up with the traditional "speedo" tell-tale tan lines!
All-in-all... Loved it, and it's an EXCELLENT VALUE!!!

(More customer reviews)I will have to lose weight to wear this suit. I have lots of speedos but this one is very tight. The leg openings are also too loose (not high cut, just loose) so I'll have to add some elastic to tighten them up if and when I can ever wear this suit.

It fit perfectly! I wear a size 12 swimsuit, so I ordered the size 12, and it fits like a glove. The straps stay where they belong and the bottom does not ride up. It is not a particularly flattering style, but that does not matter. I wanted a suit that would be comfortable, and this one is! The Azure blue is gorgeous! I may buy another one, because the chlorine in indoor pools is hard on swimsuits.

These have really worn well. I have had them for 3 months. No fading, no wear. They appear to be holding up nicely.

Anyway, I'm not a competitive swimmer just your garden variety pool lounger so it works well for me. The front is lined but the butt area is not. Not sure if it's see-through or not. You'll get the wackiest tan lines on the back too! The color is great and of course, Speedo makes a sturdy suit.

I don't get the point of the draw string but I haven't swim in it yet, so maybe it will help if there is any drag.
